Back in the day...Mini-moon in New York

I was reminiscing about our honeymoon in 2011. We first went on a mini-moon to New York for a few days in April right after we were married and then we went on our actual honeymoon to Paris in June of the same year. We wanted to have awesome weather when we went on our honeymoon so we could enjoy the outdoors and we sure did.

But before I blog about our honeymoon, I wanted to first blog our mini-moon cause we had so much fun. It was just a few days after we'd gotten married. We hopped on the train from South Station in Boston to New York's Grand central station. It was so nice to travel care-free and just enjoy being newly weds.

This was an interesting ad. Why? Because if I can read this, I don't need to learn English!

We didn't make it onto Ellis Island because we didn't buy tickets ahead of time and by the time we got there, they were sold out. Oh well...we planned on going there later on that year but we never did. Life happened I guess :-).

Yup...still had the newly wed glow :-)

Our first real dinner as husband and wife.

New York, New York!!!

The beautiful Skyline.

Gotta take a picture here when you come to NY. We looked so young!

Welcoming teddy.

It was nice viewing these pics again.

Have a fabulous weekend!

    1. It is fun. Much easier without a stroller though :-). I can't imagine going now with JOE especially because she is so curios and wouldn't want to stay in her stroller. I'd have to carry her everywhere.

  2. A mini-moon, what a great idea. That was smart of you guys because Paris in April could have been a disaster.

You guys totally have the newlywed glow and matching by the way, you are both sporting pink in that one picture :).

I love trips down memory lanes, it always makes me smile when I see pics from years ago before babies and all. Can't wait to see your honeymoon pics

    1. Thank you! Yes...I learnt my lessons way back when because I never used to check the weather before I book my trips. Now I check to make sure the average temperature is at least over 70 degrees :-).
Lol...yeah...we wanted to make sure we kinda matched a bit. Those were the days.

  3. Ahh love this post! I just love any travel post about the city.

You looked gorgeous! Love all the pictures.

And you're so right. That sign makes no sense. It should have been in language besides English, lol.

    1. Thank you! We enjoyed it so much. We will definitely be going back. Just want JOE to be bigger so that she can also enjoy it as well. Her uncle (my younger brother) who lives in the city keeps asking about her coming to visit so we'll make the trip back soon.
