We had such a full and fun weekend. J had a cold and JOE started having a runny nose on Friday night so it changed some of our plans on Saturday.
After our family walk on Saturday, we went to JOE's swim class and ran a few errands before coming home to clean up and head out. We went to a baby shower/gender reveal party. It was so nice because my childhood friend was visiting from Ohio. I can't believe I have known her for over 28 years! She and her husband are truly awesome and some of the nicest people you would meet. JOE was attached to the arm of my friend's hubby most of the evening.
We ended up staying there a lot longer than we thought we would. That's the thing about spending time with her. We never run out of things to talk about :-).
On Sunday, we went to a corn maze. We had a great time. While J navigated us through the maze, I was the back seat walker carrying (wearing) JOE and asking "are you sure this is the way?" :-). It was fun and we enjoyed it. Next week, we plan on visiting a farm so we can pick apples :-). Being a mom makes the seasons that much more special.
We had a great time and by the time we got home, we were worn out!

The gender reveal. I figured it out before because there were 6-blue balloons and 5 pink ones :-). |

Yeah...I guess it was just not her thing :-). At least she didn't spend the time screaming her head off :-D
Deletelooks like a fun weekend. love the picture of JOE with her auntie...how cute! and the corn maze...how fun!
ReplyDeleteBusy but fun weekends are my favorite. Gender reveal parties are so fun, I never did one (I don't think I could hold off on finding out for that long) but I always loved seeing what other people did. JOE definitely had a great time.
ReplyDeleteYAY for the corn maze fun. I can't wait to take the boys to the pumpkin patch in a few weeks. October is such a fun month.
I just love the expression on JOE's face when you were 1/3 of the way there. She looks so done.
You and be both! From the moment I knew I was pregnant, I knew I wanted to know the baby's gender. Kudos for people who can keep it a secret. I am definitely not one of them :-).
DeleteThat cake, yum! I love gender reveal parties! I hope I get invited to one soon :)
ReplyDeleteI want to do a hayride and a corn maze ASAP! I love her expression! She was not feeling it at all ;)
Oh they are so much fun cause guests spent the night counting pink and blue items :-). Will consider having one for my next.
