Catching up

We have had a busy few days. I didn't get a chance to do any blogging last week because I had to take a training course which changed up my schedule for a bit.

I meant to post some of this last week but never got a chance to so here you go.

Here's JOE and me being silly with the camera. I love that she indulges me. JAE doesn't quite get it yet.

If you've been following my blog, you'll know that I went back to work a couple of weeks ago. In anticipation of that, I decided to try on some clothes. This was the outfit that won for my second day back to work from maternity. Oh and yes, that mirror stays like that. JOE loves to see her "masterpiece" a.k.a her palm print on there :-D.

Our weekly mommy-daughters selfie.

JAE is still unsure of this whole selfie thing. She'll come around soon.

And in the midst of it all, I saw this one day on my way home from work. This car definitely has character. It made me chuckle!

JAE is finally sitting in her bumbo. YAY!!! She loves being able to sit up.

JOE and JAE enjoying some time together during the day. I love that their childcare provider sends me pictures throughout the day. It makes a busy and sometimes stressful workday a lot easier.

I just love that she is smiling and laughing more.

My little girl went to the library and won a book prize.

Sister sister! They love each other. JAE lights up when JOE is around (sometimes).

Since she can now roll over, she is not a fan of being on her back anymore. Can't blame her there.

JOE is creating another masterpiece all while wearing her favorite Doc McStuffins headband.

Yeah...she's cool like that.

"You talking to me?"

And that smile again. Just love her to pieces. #themanyfacesofjae

During our long drive back from Virginia Beach a couple of weekends ago, JAE was screaming for food. I put the bottle in her mouth and turned around to get a towel to make sure she didn't get it all over her. Well, when I turned back, this is what I saw. My baby holding her bottle.
I tried to take it away from her and she pulled it back. Why is she growing up so fast? #Iloveit #Imnotready!

And this is JAE's "what now?" look.

#sisterlylove

My little flirt!

She already loves to books.

Another mommy-daughter selfie from last week.

JAE loves her milk. Don't you dare try to take it away from her. If you do, check out the finger you'll get!

Last week Friday, I left work with more than enough time to get home to get JOE and JAE since their childcare provider had to leave for her doctor's appointment. However, as luck would have it, there was an accident on the way and my hour long commute became a 90-minute commute. NOT fun!

It was still nice to be able to enjoy the rest of the weekend. J came home a little early and we were able to enjoy some evening family time outside. Here is JOE and her dad racing.

We let JOE take her "car" outside. Why did she leave it in the middle of the road whenever she went to play with her friends? #carefreetoddler!

JOE in her Dora car. She has a barbie one but she doesn't know how to drive it just yet.

On Saturday, JOE had her first soccer practice. Check out JAE photobombing! And the smirk on her face is priceless!

My baby did GREAT!

Check out her form. Future soccer star??? Perhaps! USA!!!

Scoring her first goal. So proud.

And of course, she won a prize.

After the busy morning, J took me out to celebrate my 2014 birthday. Just in time for my 2015 birthday in 5-weeks :-). In his defense, I wanted to go to Fogo de Chao for my birthday last year but was pregnant and didn't really want to eat that much meat. So I told him we should wait until I had the baby. After JAE arrived we've just been really busy. Last Saturday was the earliest we could go and we had a great time!

Me and my honey hubby.

We are creatures of habit when it comes to dessert. J got the usual cheesecake with caramel sauce.

And I got the flan. I think I just love saying "flan" :-).

Yesterday, JOE wanted me to take a picture of her in her Cinderella dress. It was our first Sunday going to church since JAE arrived. It was nice to be back. We had a great time.
Check out my hands on hubby J changing JAE.

On Friday evening, I taught JOE how to hopscotch. We all had a great time doing it but the rain washed away the lines yesterday so today, their childcare provider drew new lines and was able to video my JOE. She's pretty good.

J cared for JOE on Sunday after I was done cooking our lunches for the week. This enabled me to get some much needed shut eye. I feel so much more rejuvenated today and am ready to take on the week.

I'm looking forward to getting some work done at work and enjoying time with my family.

  1. It is so much fun reading about all your adventures. JAE is getting so big, weren't you just pregnant yesterday.

JOE is such an active toddler and her skills at soccer are awesome. I need to get her and Jbird together, they would get along so well.

You guys are slowly getting into a nice routine with the 2 girls. It is such a nice place to be.
