Randoms

I was happy to be able to telework yesterday due to the weather issues we had in the DMV. However, since I haven't been in the office since last Thursday, it was good to get back into the regular routine today.

Have you noticed that when you work, you eat better? Not sure if this is the same for most but for me, it sure happens. I pack my lunch and have a pretty set meal for breakfast so I am not really tempted to get "bad" foods. However, when I am at home, I tend to subscribe to a "see food" diet. As in I see it, I eat it! Definitely NOT good for my waist-line.

In anycase, this is just a random post of things going through my mind at the moment.

I read this article and I think it makes A LOT of sense. Don't let the header fool you! The "engagement ring" here is not an actual engagement ring. Just read on and see. I think its a good article for any soon to be married or recently married folks out there.

Here are some random pics.

Oh to be care free! JOE was having a hard time staying asleep in her bed last week so we brought her in ours for part of the night. Here she is all sprawled out.

I got new glasses yesterday. Still undecided on if I like them or not but I really have no choice. My eyes are getting worse and years of not wearing my glasses consistently means I now need a stronger prescription AND have to wear it all the time. Boo...NOTE: I was NOT driving when this picture was taken. I was waiting in the parking lot for J to return from getting his suits from the cleaners :-).

My new car. I LOVE it! She purrs!!! I loved my 11-year old Honda but it was about to see its last leg and hubby and I decided it was time for a new car that would accommodate the brood of kids we plan on having. OK. Just 3 :-). We need a car that would accommodate 2 car seats and a booster comfortably.

I love this dress for the Fall. No I am not pregnant but I think it'll look cute. I was going to try to make it but then I don't want folks thinking I am pregnant. Do you think it is workable for a non-pregnant person?

Front view of the dress...Thoughts?

Happy Hump Day!!!

    1. Lol. Thank you! JOE really enjoys our bed but we've transitioned her into her bed so with the exception of an hour here or there, she is NOT coming back to our bed :-).

  3. JOE sprawled on the bed is the picture of perfection. I think if you looked up chilling in the dictionary you'll find that pic :).

The new glasses look great but it must be weird to you because it's new. Have you considered Lasik? my hubby just got it done a few months ago and he swears it's the best EVER.

Congrats on the new car, you are going to love the room for sure.

I am on the fence about that dress, it could go well or be a total disaster. I love the color though.

    1. Yup. She thinks our bed is her bed :-).

Thank you! I actually have had glasses for about 12 years but I never wore them. I used to wear contacts but then decided I didn't like poking myself in the eye everyday so I stopped. I guess I should have kept it up. Lasik is not an option right now but perhaps (hopefully) in the future.

Thank you. I am loving it already. Anyone sitting in the passenger size can still be comfortable without feeling cramped. In my old car, it felt rather cramped for and AND hubby who is much taller.

I think I agree with you. It is a cute dress to wear for someone expecting but would invite a lot of "hmmm...is she expecting?" comments. Thanks for the feedback!

  4. I LOVE that photo of Joe omg haha that's how Terrin is-no care in the world. Sprawling out everywhere! I think you look great with those glasses! And that car is BEAUTIFUL!! I'm still driving our 11 year old accord. It's getting time to buy a new car for sure!

    1. I bet JOE and Terrin will get along very well :-).

Thanks. I am still feeling somewhat self conscious about wearing the glasses but it was my fault. Perhaps if I had been consistent in the first place, it wouldn't have gotten this bad.

Hondas really hold their value. I was surprised about how much I was able to trade my old CRV for after 11-years. They are certainly good cars. I kinda stuck in the same family by going to an Acura. I'll likely be driving this one for as many years unless we hit the lotto!

  5. Haha, the way JOE is sleeping is the way I want to sleep. With no care in the world :)

Your new car is perfection! I love it.

I think the dress would be great for a non-pregnant person! I would wear it and I'm not preggo :)

    1. Lol...don't we all? :-).

      Thank you!

I am still toying with the idea but perhaps I can make some alterations to it. Been looking on Pinterest.
