Christmas is in the air!

We had a very successful weekend. I had to work the Friday after Thanksgiving so J came into the city to have lunch with me since he had the day off.

Friday evening, we hung out at home and it seems like Saturday came rather early. Thankfully, JOE slept in so we were able to get some much needed rest.

Since we've been living the condo life, this was the first year we got to truly decorate and we were really excited.

We wanted to decorate the outside and that took all day! We couldn't figure out the wiring and 2 trips to Wal-Mart later, we got it figured out. We were so tired, we didn't even bother tackling the inside until Sunday after church.

On Sunday, after church, we decided to tackle the insides of our house. That only took 3/4 of the day as opposed to all day :-).

We love the way it all turned out. We hung the ornaments higher. However, JOE is AFRAID of the tree and the nutcrackers! She refuses to be left in the room alone. I guess the good thing is that we don't have to worry about her getting into anything. The bad thing is that now, we have to deal with taking her with us everywhere when we are in the house or else it is a cry fest!

    1. Thank you!

I am kinda glad she isn't too into the tree. That child of mine is a curious one. I did notice her go up to the tree last night and touch one of the lights. I of course tried to scare her...lol...I couldn't resist :-).

I am sure before the tree is taken down, we will be able to get a couple of pics of her by the tree. I love looking at timeless photos with kids by their family Christmas tree.

  3. Oh yeah, you totally decked the halls lady. Love what you did there with the decorations.By the way, I love that "our family" wall you made and your tree looks awesome.

Are your stockings all personalized with a J? Too cute, the J-family, that's your new nickname.

We just put up our tree this past weekend too. I am finally feeling the festiveness and embracing the season. Though the tree might have to come down because Jbird looks like he wants to take it down any minute. We'll see.

    1. Yup. I have always wanted to so it was nice that we were able to do that this year. Thank you! I have to update the pictures on there. Hubby has mentioned it a couple of times but I am being lazy :-). Perhaps after the holidays.

I actually got the stockings from Bed, Bath and Beyond last year. We couldn't find another "J" so we got an "E" since that's hubby's middle initial. I am going to go back this year to see if they have more "J"s. I just might buy another 3 just incase for our future kids :-D.

Just saw your tree! It looks really nice and festive! Love the family pics too. So nice and happy!
