Foolery: Things that make me go hmmm...

Happy Friday! Hope you've had a good week so far. I am certainly loving the warming weather in my area. But they are calling for snow next week. That in itself is foolery!

Today's foolery is based on articles that left me shaking my head again wondering "how can a human being do this to another?"

First there is the Jordan Davis case. The monster who killed this unarmed 17-year old has no remorse for what he did. I don't care what his experience has been in the past with people of color. Just like I don't think all whites are racists, all blacks are not "thugs".

Jordan Davis was 17 when he was gunned down and killed in the SUV he was riding in.

This one was really heart wrenching. How can a woman do this to another woman? How in God's green earth???  I am sure going through a miscarriage was a very traumatic experience for her. I have no doubt about it. But that makes it even worse to know that after she lost a baby, she was willing to kill someone else and potentially endanger the life of another baby (she did this when the victim was 8-months pregnant) to get what she wants. She certainly deserves the sentence she got.

And then there is this video about a Raven's player who is seen dragging his fiancee out of an elevator after an argument. Apparently, they had been in a fight and both were charged. I really think they need serious counseling before "pledging to love, honor and obey through good times and bad."

Have a fabulous weekend and remember to be kind to strangers!

  1. I was just reflecting on that verse this morning as well! This morning we passed a guy using his hands to shovel the snow out from under his car, but was too rushed to help with a real shovel. (It's winter warning weather over here.) I felt so bad after I got to work and realized I should have done something. So I'm definitely going to slow down and try to be kind more often when I see I could be useful. Who knows how much our good actions can positively impact others and spread out and counteract all the foolery! Have a wonderful weekend!

    1. Yeah. I do the same thing too but I always try to back track if I can. I find it very rewarding to know that I can and have helped someone in need.

      Have a fabulous weekend!
