Photo Dump Wednesday: The many faces of JOE

Hump day! I haven't done one of these in a few weeks! Today's photo dump post features the many faces of JOE...my almost 2-year old.

Here she is wearing her Doc McStuffins headband and watching her favorite show. Can you guess which one it is?

And out of nowhere last week, JOE tells me "momma look, I'm a cowboy!" Thanks to Disney Junior's Sheriff Callie!
To finish out her outfit, I got her one of my summer hats and clipped it at the top. She in turn got my clear headband from the drawer and proceeded to use it as her lasso!

Yup...she is full of character this one.

I told her to take selfies with me and this is what I got.

I do so love taking pictures of her beautiful face while she is sleeping!

Oh and check out the length of this girl's hair! It is getting longer! Unbraided, it goes down to her butt! Not even sure of how to handle this long term. Her dad says no to cutting it. I wasn't really serious about cutting it though. I just got frustrated one Saturday when she wouldn't let me detangle it and it was all matted. The joys of having a girl!

Hope you're having an awesome week so far! October is almost over! November for me marks the start of many holidays. Woohoo!!!

  1. What a cutie!!! Such creativity you two have with making a hat & lasso. I have a friend (wish I could introduce you) who has two girls with similar hair. I asked he how she manages it (cause her girls have a LOT of cute but long crazy curly absolutely beautiful hair) and she said her main thing is she periodically (not very often) takes them to the salon and gets it washed and straightened and trimmed. Not a real cut but essentially they clip her ends. Maybe you could start doing that soon? I know that doesn't help with day-to-day management but I thought I would pass it along anyway.

    1. This is pretty good advise. I really am thinking about taking JOE to a hair salon soon especially in light of the fact that I'll have a new baby soon and don't know if I'll have the energy to continue to fight with JOE to do her hair.
My neighbor has also offered to assist with JOE's hair. I just might take her up on her offer. Lord knows, I'll need all the help I can get.

  2. Hehe, I love that she knows what a cowboy looks like!

Wow, her hair is long! I wish I had some advice but from what I can see you're doing very well. I'm sure it really boils down to how JOE feels certain days on whether she wants you to touch it.

    1. She knows it from Sheriff Callie on Disney Junior. She also likes to think she is a real cowboy but she'll often introduce herself as Doc McStuffins :).
It does boil down to how she feels. I am hoping she gets used to it sooner rather than later cause with another one on the way, I am not so sure I would want to do the weekly fight sessions to get her hair done.
