Foolery: Things that make me go hmmm...

Happy Friday all!

Its been an especially challenging week for me. One that tested my weekly comments about being kind to strangers. Let's just say I am learning everyday and know that God is in control. With that said though, I am glad the week is over and I get to hang out with my family this weekend for my niece's first birthday party.

I read this article and CANNOT believe this guy. Is this the 50s? Since when are women not allowed to pilot planes? I am glad the pilot didn't stoop down to his level though. Shows who the bigger person is.

I usually watch E! I love their fashion criticisms about 80% of the time BUT I also think they are offensive sometimes. The comments about Elsa Pataky's look was really just WRONG! Elsa is pregnant with twins and I think she looks OK! Perhaps that's not the most flattering dress for her but commenting that she looks like she has a beer belly is hurtful. This just makes me shake my head!

Have a fabulous and safe weekend everyone and remember to be kind to strangers!

  1. I never understood why people feel that it is ok to say mean things to pregnant women- weather intentional or not.

Hope you have fun this weekend!

    1. Yeah. I never get that. The woman is already going through a different stage in life and certainly does not need any negativity.

I did. Hope you did too!

  2. We've become a mean-spirited society. There are those who make fun and criticize the CHILDREN of famous people. They're children. I teach. There is a stage in a person's life when you do things (childhood) that DON'T make sense, that cause us all to scratch our heads, and it's okay because you're a kid and you're learning. Now, comedians, critics, you name it, use children as fodder for their comments, jokes, etc. smh!

    1. Yeah. Its sad to see but you are so right. People just need to realize that putting someone down does not have any positive outcomes for anyone.
I wish folks would learn to uplift and encourage more.

  3. Funny, I was just reading Proverbs 31 this morning. What excited me was that the Proverbs 31 woman bought a field and literally started a business. What I like about the Proverbs 31 woman is that she works hard inside and outside of her home in order to make sure her family is feed and clothed. I think the passenger on that plane didn't really get that message when he read Proverbs 31!

    1. When hubby and I were going through our very rigorous 20-week pre-marital class, Proverbs 31 was the main focus during the breakout sessions. I can honestly say that my interpretation of it and this guy's interpretation are COMPLETELY different.
Its amazing how folks use the word to express their wrong views.

    1. I know right? It is just such a hurtful thing for a woman to read especially when she may not be feeling so great carrying 2-humans inside of her.
Yup...we had a 20-week pre-marital course! Each class was 3-hours long. It was long and extensive but J and I both agree that it was certainly worth taking. We have used so many of the lessons learned in our marriage so far.

  5. The color of that dress is gorgeous. They should have just left her alone.
